Thanks Thomas!

I am aware that my usual process for starting any assignment would be to do a lot of thinking, researching, reading, analysing the question to really look for the right answer, before even attempting to begin writing. Lecture 2 points out this can be an inhibitor to creativity. I decided to break this habit and dive straight in with no clear idea of where I was going! Rather than avoiding ambiguity (yet another inhibitor listed in Lecture 2) I will let it take over!

I decided to take a leaf out of Edison’s book – start writing to get a quantity of ideas, question my assumptions about what the assignment should be (Robertson, 2009). With no word limit and no format set surely there could be no wrong answer! As an initial starting point I would record all my ideas as well as those from the lecture references in this blog, I would look for opportunity, then refine my assignment allowing myself to take risks with the outcome (Robertson, 2009). Thanks Thomas!
